Goodbye HTC, India!

Sad to learn HTC is closing its doors in India. I used an explorer during the early days of my smartphone literacy. I was skeptical whether switching from a convenient feature phone to an upgraded device would be transition-smooth. But this stubby, pebble shaped handset proved me wrong.

A fluid user interface reduced my learning curve in android awareness while a sturdy built and life-proof rubberized rear left little for me to think about maintenance. As time goes by, the device succumbed to my relentless usage and now stands as a memory piece.

HTC devices create an emotional attachment, seeing it leaving hurts; more so when India is one of the largest markets for smartphones. But the company might have better plans for the future.
